Natural Arch Handicap Accessible Overlook

Overview. This is a nice, quick walk on paved path to a developed platform looking out over Natural Arch and the Great Gulf. It’s worthy of a stop anytime you’re driving by on US-27 and additional hiking with routes ranging from a quarter mile to 6.5 miles on Buffalo Canyon Loop.

Parking. Ample parking is available at the trailhead with bathrooms, picnic shelters, and more nearby.

Trail Navigation. Locate the trailhead and walk the paved path until reaching the overlook. There is a little elevation gain on the way back, so it’s not a flat path, but certainly handicap accessible with a little work.

CAUTION - Deadly Drops. Long falls from high places are the #1 non-health related cause of death for hikers in Kentucky. Keep your distance from the edges of cliffs to avoid a deadly fall. Young children should be kept close.
