Split Bow Arch Out and Back
Overview. This is one of the more interesting arches in Kentucky and a short walk in the woods. The trail takes you through the arch and is most commonly hiked as a loop. Short on daylight, we shaved a few steps off the hike with the out and back route instead.

Parking. Ample parking is available in the parking lot, along the road, and at Split Bow Arch Overlook a short walk down the road. Pit toilets and trash receptacles are also available here.
Trail Navigation. Find the trailhead on the north side of the parking lot. Walk out and begin descending. Reach the loop intersection and take a right (straight). Continue until reaching Split Bow Arch and take the steps to get a different perspective on the arch. Retrace your steps to return to the trailhead.
CAUTION - Deadly Drops. Long falls from high places are the #1 non-health related cause of death for hikers in Kentucky. Keep your distance from the edges of cliffs to avoid a deadly fall. Young children should be kept close.
