Ripley Falls Out and Back
Overview. This is a great, short hike leading to the gorgeous, cascading Ripley Falls. While other routes to this are available, this is the most direct path. The falls were impressive, beautiful, and relaxing with only one other hiking group on trail with us.

Parking. Limited parking is available at the trailhead located at the end of Willey House Station Road off US-302.
Trail Navigation. This is well marked and maintained trail that is easily navigated. Locate the trailhead at the far end of the parking lot and begin hiking uphill. Crossover the active railroad crossing and continue until reaching the Ripley Falls-Ethan Pond Trail Split. Go left at the fork and travel generally southwest before bending due south just before the falls. Enjoy your time here before retracing your steps back to the trailhead.
HIKER NOTE - Arethusa Falls. Add 5 miles and one of the most glamorous waterfalls in the Northeast by continuing out and back to Arethusa Falls.
CAUTION - Be Bear Aware. Black bear are plentiful in the region. Know Before You Go => US Forest Service Black Bear Safety Tips
CAUTION - Moose. Be aware and never approach moose. Leave a wide berth and turn back if needed.
