Niagara Falls Winter Walk on Goat Island
I hadn’t been to Niagara Falls in a couple decades, so I convinced the crew to make this our pit stop on the way home. It was disappointing. The weather sucked, the main overlooks were closed, and what would’ve been a snow covered winter paradise a couple days before or after our visit was just a dreary scene all around. But the fox was cool. I’ll make sure my next visit is when the overlooks are open, and I’ll have a passport (views from Canada are far better), and I’ll go on a sun and clouds day. Still pretty neat, but definitely not as neat as I’d have liked.
Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park
This was a great spot to stretch our legs on our quick stopover in Poughkeepsie, New York. This bridge was converted from railroad tracks to walkway over a picturesque spot on the Hudson River with palisades on the west side, city on the east side, and the Mid-Hudson Bridge to the south.
