Trail Navigation. Locate the trailhead near the train station and walk across the tracks on Avalon Trail. Shortly into the forest, you’ll reach a junction and turn left (south) to follow Mt. Willard Trail. Continue uphill passing Centennial Pool on your right and eventually topping out at the clifftop overlook. Enjoy your time here and notice the mountains from lookers’ left with the Presidential Range to lookers’ right for the Willey Range.
