Overview. We had the pleasure of laying first tracks at Ft. Wright Nature Center on our way to Moser Branch Double Falls. This is a gorgeous little spot tucked away between a beautiful neighborhood and Highland Cemetery. For a longer hike, come in from the cemetery’s trail system that connects with the nature center at the falls.

Parking. Street-side parking is available near the trailhead on Augusta Avenue.

Trail navigation. The trail leaves Augusta Avenue and descends to a small reservoir abutting private property. Continue past the lake and pickup the double-track gravel maintenance road. You’ll pass a downed tree with some gravel around it that descends to Moser Branch Double Falls. Pass this and look to the right for a small single track trail with small wooden benches. Zig-zag down to the falls and enjoy.
