Parking. Ample parking is available just off US-302.

Trail Navigation. This is a simple get out of the car and have a look-see:-)

HIKER NOTE - Mount Willard. Just north on US-302 is the AMC Highland Center that has a train boarding station across from Saco Lake. The trailhead for Mount Willard is located there and the overlook at the end of that hike offers superior views from the same angle as this overlook. We typically hike Mount Willard as a warm-up to get the legs ready for bigger objectives on our weeklong trips.

CAUTION - Be Bear Aware. Black bear are plentiful in the region. Know Before You Go => US Forest Service Black Bear Safety Tips

CAUTION - Moose. Be aware and never approach moose. Leave a wide berth and turn back if needed.
